No, you will not be getting hit because sparring without proper foundation is a terrible idea. You will work hard developing proper form and you will be training your footwork religiously.
Yes, despite the fact that I am not a fan of sparring for beginners, I do believe that every person should learn proper boxing technique. You will learn to move and punch properly. It does not matter if your goal is fitness or learning the sport, every person who comes to me will learn proper foundation.
I learned different styles of boxing from different trainers. I also am a student of martial arts and I focus heavily on Korean martial arts which is very heavy on mobility and footwork which is something I incorporate in my training.
As mentioned before, there are different styles of boxing. If you wish to learn more than one style, you will have a longer learning curve. If you wish to become a very aggressive infighter, you will learn the techniques quicker but you will be very dependent on heavy cardio training. Niche styles will depend on individuals body type, athetic potential or background.
I am not registered with BC boxing and I have no interest being involved in amateur scene. However I do recommend contenders and rain city boxing. Both are run by great people, both have healthy gym culture and are excellent options. I can still help you with training and sparring to help you prepare for a match.
No classes, I prefer to work with you in private or semi-private setting so I can give my time and attention to detail properly.
Same cost as one on one. I do not like to charge extra for extra person. Its not done out of generosity, its just a pain in the ass to have a different pricing list for semi-private.
